Maple Base with walnut inlay.
 Base is cut to general shape and then the “negative “ is cut for the inlay. Next the ”positive” is cut from the walnut. The two are glued and placed in a 15 ton press overnight to insure a good bond. The product is removed from the press and the walnut shaved then sanded to insure a smooth finish. Everything is then finished with mineral oil to give an attractive finish.
